FAQ – Cosmetic Packaging
What type of packaging works best in the beauty industry?
Cardboard unit boxes are the most effective, as they combine product protection with a strong marketing function. Key factors include aesthetics, durability, and the ability to fully customize the design.
What is the difference between unit packaging and bulk packaging?
Unit packaging (individual boxes) is designed for direct retail sale and product display, while bulk packaging (master cartons) is primarily used for transport and logistics, focusing on protection rather than brand image.
What quality standards must cosmetic packaging meet?
Cosmetic packaging must be durable, aesthetically flawless, and safe for the product. High-quality print, rub resistance (scuff resistance), and compliance with industry regulations are also essential.
How do I choose the right packaging for a specific cosmetic product?
The choice depends on the product’s form, weight, and usage. Different solutions are used for creams (jars), powders, or liquids, where additional internal protection (like inserts) might be necessary.
What finishes are most commonly used for cosmetic packaging?
The most popular finishes are lamination (matte or soft-touch), spot UV varnish, hot-stamping, and embossing. These enhancements elevate the packaging’s aesthetics and reinforce a premium brand image.
